At the seaside in Carsluith I took this photos with the warm light of the late winter sun. The teasel you can see on the single photo above is one of my favourite flowers - and if I should choose for a flower I would like to be, it would be her. The teasel as the coast of Scotland has an austere beauty, which I like very much. Impressions from Carsluithlinks
Find out more about the amazing teasel for example, why the Romans called the plant ‘Venus’s basin’, and the early Christians in Ireland referred to it as ‘Mary’s basin’. And see the brilliant photos and microscopical pictures from Brian Johnston.
